Sees the Complete Picture

LiDARs bring complete 360° vision to the vehicle by continuously monitoring the surrounding area for obstacles and obstructions.

The LiDARs we use on our vehicles can see up to 30 meters and do a full scan 10 times per second. Each scan generates a rich 3D rendering, made up of 32,000 individual data points, giving our system the information it needs to make instant decisions about its surroundings.

This alone would be enough but we couple this visibility with additional sensors to give your organization full confidence in safe and efficient navigation that will keep your workers out of harm's way.

Our Decision Engine interprets what our LiDARs see to make decisions 3x faster than a Human Driver.

By evaluating the surrounding area and data coming from the LiDAR, IMU, wheel encoders, and other sensors, our vehicles can determine if it’s safe to navigate. The system considers people in the environment and their hundreds of different predicted paths to quickly decide to stop or keep driving.

Through accurate assessment of threats and proactive anticipation of movements, the vehicle can achieve safe motion and avoid potential collisions — damn near instantly.

Stops on a Dime

Our collision avoidance system, Virtual Bumper, is a redundant sensor and compute package that offers an extra layer of safety by essentially doubling the number of systems responsible for safety.

Utilizing a network of in-vehicle sensors, our Virtual Bumper extends in front of the vehicle and automatically stops it to prevent collisions.

By dynamically adapting its protective field according to the vehicle's speed, which can extend up to 3.5m, your operations can continue to run smoothly without the risk of costly accidents.

By the way, Virtual Bumper's permitters can be adjusted based on the layout of your facility.

Safety You Can See and Hear

Communication Lights

We use color-coded LED lighting to communicate the DriveMod vehicle's status and intent to the workers in the area.

These clear visual cues make it easier for your workers to understand how the vehicle is operating and avoid misunderstandings or delays in communication. Since humans can process visual content 50x faster than words, we find the lighting system to be an effective means to ensure a quicker response than a notification in the FMS.

Audio Cues

Audible tones and automated horn honks help notify your employees when a vehicle is turning, departing, or arriving at a stop. These sound cues serve as an added safety measure for your team, especially in situations where the vehicle is not visible.
